"The Lost Art of Murder"
The slowly sinking speck of black
The muffled groans of pain
The strangled voice of death
The wet drops of red
The long painless fall
The thin pink strokes of silver
The ticking hands of time
Modernism- The movement of free expression that started in the first decades of the 20th century. Moderist poetry has no rules, it doesn't have to follow the iambic parameter, it doesn't have to have a set number of sentences and many more. This poem was inspired by Wallace Stevens's "Thirteen ways of looking at a Blackbird".
